City auctions gift baskets to help needy

Monday, December 7, 2009 4:45 PM MST

The City of Casper Human Resources Department is sponsoring a holiday gift basket auction again this year. The proceeds will be donated to homeless children and families who attend Natrona County School District 1.

The auction is underway and ends Friday, Dec. 18. Several work groups within the City organization compiled the holiday gift baskets, many of which are themed and include a variety of gifts purchased and donated by City employees and local businesses.

Members of the community are able to bid on baskets of their choice through the City Web site, www.casperwy.gov.
