It’s official: Olive Garden is coming to Casper

The rumors that Casper would have an Olive Garden are rumors no more.

Forward Development LLC, owned and controlled by Mick McMurry, and broker Randy Hall closed the deal on Thursday for a new Olive Garden on Casper’s east side.

The restaurant will be located next to the new movie theaters that are already under construction. Hall also has finalized a deal for a new 15,000-square-foot Fitness One fitness center on the same site. The regional health club franchise has locations in Cheyenne, Las Cruces, N.M., and California.

The vision for the site, according to Hall, is an entertainment and lifestyle area that will include the movie theater, restaurants and complementary retail.

Contractors already have started moving dirt for the Olive Garden, which is expected to open in November.
